"Jack"
I titled this painting "Jack", being that he's a Jack Russell terrier. I wanted to paint a picture of this dog because there's a story behind it - It's a story that took place in the same time period of the, "Big Red Roses" painting, where we were struggling with our finances because of a changed position at work, taking a pay cut. And because of that pay cut we became 3 months behind on our house payments.
The man that we made our payments to (not a financial institution - which is another amazing story of God's goodness and provision) sent us a letter at the beginning of the week, stating that we needed to make all 3 payments by the end of the week!
I began to pray, not knowing where the money could possibly come from. But by that very same evening we had all the money for the 3 mortgage payments, plus extra!
We would receive a check from my husband’s aunt's home insurance company, from an incident that had taken place 6 months prior to needing the money. The strange incident is where the dog comes in - After a visit with my husband’s aunt, (sweetest lady ever) standing outside and up against a fenced in area of her yard, where her dog was penned in, we were ending our visit, when the dog, out of the blue, jumped up and bit my husband’s lips! Unable to stop the bleeding from the bite, we headed to the ER where he received stitches. This is why, unbeknownst to us, my husband’s aunt turned the incident into her insurance company.
God took something bad and turned it around, using it for good.
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust him.
God is the God of miracles. He never changes - For He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
He can get us through any storm - He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
I hope this story blesses someone.
